Always read the full instruction leaflet before you start. To begin, shake the bottle and apply the lotion straight onto dry hair. Work the solution in with a comb or fingers covering the hair from root to tip and leave in for 5 minutes then comb through. Once complete, apply shampoo to dry hair before wetting and washing out.

Yes, Hedrin Kills Lice kills eggs too. 

Hedrin Kills Lice Lotion contains hemisqualane and beeswax that has a double action: they block the breathing holes of the louse and dehydrate and shrivels the skin of the insect after 5 minutes. Hedrin Kills Head Lice Lotion does not contain neurotoxic insecticides, so there is no risk of resistance developing. Hedrin Kills Head Lice Lotion does not contain silicone (dimethicone).

Hedrin Kills Lice has been shown to work with just one application but a further check should be carried out one week after application to make sure that no head lice or eggs have managed to escape the coating.

Hedrin Kills Lice Lotion is suitable for pregnant & breast-feeding women. However, if you’re unsure consult a doctor or pharmacist.

Hedrin Kills Lice has not been tested for use on permanent, semi-permanent or temporary hair dyes. However, when used at your own risk, we recommend applying the formula to a small test area of hair before commencing treatment. If in doubt, you can always consult a hairdresser. It is not advisable to use Hedrin Kills Lice directly before colouring or bleaching because it may prevent the colour taking to the hair.

Hedrin Kills Lice has not been tested for use on hair extensions. It is, therefore, difficult to know whether products will affect them – for this reason, we do not recommend the use of Hedrin on hair extensions. When encountering a head lice infestation, we recommend removing the extensions prior to the use of Hedrin. If in doubt, consult a hairdresser.

Hedrin Kills Lice has not been tested on beards as its intended purpose is for application on hair and scalp. We, therefore, do not guarantee its use in another area. In theory, as long as the application comes into contact with head lice or eggs, it should fulfil its intended use. 

Hedrin Kills Lice is suitable for adults and children 6 months and over.
